WE ARE ONE: SERVING ONE ANOTHER IS SERVING OURSELVES
How can this be so? How can serving one another be serving ourselves? My oh my! Let me count the ways and then let’s hear yours. One answer is a thought that I came upon, probably in deep discussions with dear friends more than 30 years ago. A simple definition of Love and Loving is what came from this discussion. We were young and sure we could define Love well. How do you think we did?
The definition: Love is when the Giving is the Receiving and the Receiving is the Giving.
Later I found out the SUFIS had been talking about Love in this way nearly forever. So the point is that one of the elements of both Love and Loving is the feeling of being filled up by the giving experience itself. This is an essential element of true service, the feeling of receiving Love in return simply through giving. We’ll talk more abou tthis later. So do you think that the SUFIS have a good thought there? Does loving fill you up and satisfy your soul? Is it a necessary part of Loving Life and living a healthy life? Is it an element of The Sacred Trust we are attempting to rekindle in ourselves as we build hope and faith for our new Golden Age?

New Golden Age
** Hey! isn’t it about time for another Golden Age? Wanna make one? Wanna try? Did you ever give your all and have your heart in it to anything/anyone? What was it? How did it work out?**
**There is a lot of attention being given to ethics, values, etc. This is really good. It means that we know that we need to pay attention. We know that we are losing sight of something essential. Our focus for looking at these issues at Wellspring/Oasis is to describe and look at something we call the Sacred Trust. Perhaps the easiest way to explain Sacred Trust is to give a few examples. The Sacred Trusts of Health Care are healing and caring. the Sacred Trust of Law is caring about justice, not winning. The Sacred Trust of Religion is Love. The Sacred Trusts of politics are honest, sincere leadership and public policies and a desire to serve. The Sacred Trust of auto repair is doing the best you can, being fair, and being honest with people. The Sacred Trust always has to do with the Heart of the Matter, some kind of higher purpose that makes you feel good to do it that way deep down inside. The Sacred Trust of Capitalism/Free enterprise is to make a fair profit on a good product/service. An essential quality of Sacred Trusts is that they are worthy of being honored and protected. A consequence of not honoring and protecting their integrity is to seriously lose your way in life. In this era believing in and maintaining a personal relationship and commitment to Sacred Trusts are often connected with ideas like naive and being unrealistic. These interpretations indicate how close to giving up we are. On the lighter side, Humans Have always been engaging such meaningful, powerful issues ever since our Hearts first awakened ad that has been a long time baby.
At Wellspring/Oasis we know that it is time to purify, to find the higher purpose, to stand up for what we know to be good and worth standing up for. Inspiring and supporting this true standing is a Sacred Trust of Wellspring/Oasis.
**At Wellspring/Oasis we invite in all love-based sincere voices and perspectives.
**Spontaneity, play, wildness, freedom and even a dash of chaos, if there is such a thing, all need a place in our lives in this love-based universe. How else will we be able to find the inspirational models we need to blend the best of the old with the best of the new as we are asking ourselves to do today? How will we ever be able to find that which we can barely sense in the depths of our souls without setting ourselves free to wander, to see life in some new and old wise ways?
**Now with the Internet we have the infinite connection, but do we have the healing intention….are we paying enough attention to the infinite capacity to change for the better that we have in our hands and in our Heart of Hearts? Is it true that the only people who get to be zealous are the crazies and the fear mongers. Can we get passionately zealous about love too? Hell yes! We need to if we are going to start up this new Golden Era. It’s a possibility that we hold in our hands. What makes now special is that so many people know this truth.If we are to do our transformational jobs we need to start developing more and more applications for this emerging heart wisdom in our lives and in our world.
Let’s start in little ways that we know how to do and big ways that we clearly understand. Does that make sense to you?
